SONY booth
It was huge. First, the PS3 theatre which shows off lots of PS3 footage. It was a huge theatre, not much decoration, just all black with one giant screen. (Compared to Xbox360 which is all white) All the PS3 video are impressive. Most are the same from E3 except The Metal Gear Solid 4 video which is the most stunning and new. The one that showed at SONY theatre is shorter with Otacon PC screen coming out first then the Snake in battle video. PS3 really is stunning. The graphics are like watching CG movies. We know MGS4 is real time, other games developer should at least be able to achieve 70% of what Konami does. BTW, Capcom's Bio Hazard(Resident Evil) 5 is multiplatform, it is shown at PS3 Theatre as well. The sound system in this theatre is impressive and loud! If you ask me, the number of people here at PS3 Theatre is at least 6 times that of xbox360 booth.
Outside at the entrance, they distributed silver PS3 postcard. At the center between the entrance, there is a show window showing the PS3 console and controller. The PS3 console and its controller look smaller than I expected. I still hope they change the PS3 logo to something other than spiderman fonts.
For PS2, Rogue Galaxy looks amazing. The gameplay graphics is less impressive though maybe it is just that stage. Sony handed out their thick PS2 Catalog here with Rogue Galaxy as the cover. So you can see how much importance this game hold for the holiday season.White PSP just got released there in Japan. You can see SONY promoting that Black and White PSP commerical everywhere even in the trains. All the PSP at TGS I saw are the new white one. This year, you can bring in your PSP and access to PSP Spot and play some games demo after downloading. You need version 2.0 though, you can upgrade there. A sign written in both English and Japanese says N. American PSP cannot be upgraded there. Really, there are some western people here, esp. in SONY booth. Compared to Namco Bandai ones which I rarely see western people around. The staff there treated me as Japanese btw, I just nodded or use my simple Japanese to reply. Ha ha.
