Namco Bandai

Namco Bandai
Soul Calibur III producer was on stage showing us the game.

Namco held a Soul Calibur III tournament at TGS. Win 3 rounds and the player can move to the next tournament. One of the guys forgot he has to loose 3 rounds for a real deafeat. So he put down the controller after round 2 and almost decided to leave but the other player reminded him there is still round 3. In the end he ended up winning 3 rounds straight instead of loosing. What a comeback!

The SCIII CG looks amazing, there are a lot of mode in this game. The CG shows many including Cassandra and Sophitia. One of the playing mode let you combat the statue(Dancing statue). The character customization is so deep, you can change almost anything. The lineup to try this game out is very long. Time is short at TGS, I am getting this game anyway, so ...not lining up. Just watching people playing it, there is a mode which before the game begins, there is a cut scene.

Xenosaga Episode III
This come out unexpected. There is a dark version of Kos-mos. The story involves some future and past. Looks dramatic.

Namco and Bandai are merging, so they have this cell merging logo. There was a never ending number of games showing at the booth. There was a touch screen DS game where you find the difference between the top and down screen, then you circle it. Quite good. There is also the new Tales of series show which are super jam packed and crowded that staff there have to form a line to separate the people that are watching the show and those that are just passing by. One of my favorite seiyuu was there. Next year I need to spend more time at Namco Bandai booth.
